This experience is suitable for people who are in good physical shape and have ridden a few times before. The pace of movement is low and average, but the terrain has strong breaks.
The departure takes place from the horse center above the village of “Asim Zeneli.” The instructor will select a horse based on your riding level, weight, and height. The experience begins with a short familiarization with the horse, after which participants will mount immediately at the stable and set off on the journey.
The first part of the ride consists of a gentle 5 to 6-minute descent before traversing the main road that crosses through the village. . The panorama is very pleasant as it allows people to see the hills of the valley on both sides. We will take the east direction after a moderately steep descent.
Following this, riders will enjoy breathtaking views leading to a small segment where the trail crosses a river. Here, the horses can stop to drink water while riders take a moment to adjust their position and relax.
Beyond the river, a steep uphill climb begins, where riders should assist their horses by shifting their weight towards the horse’s shoulders and using their knees to provide better balance, making the ascent easier for the horse.
Upon completing this climb, the journey reaches its highlight at Gjinofshat, where riders will arrive at the highest point of the area. This segment takes them through fruit-bearing trees and diverse vegetation, offering a glimpse of the region’s natural richness.
The return to the stable follows the same route taken earlier, except for the final stretch. Instead of passing through the village again, the ride will take a scenic detour over the hills behind the stable, providing riders with truly impressive panoramic views before concluding the adventure.

My one week horse riding holiday under guidance of the owners Kristina and Aurel and their friend Olti was the best experience I had. With their unique and strong Albanian horses we crossed mountains, rivers and forests and it was amazing. The different landscapes and the views of the autumn colours were all picturesque. We galoped often and it was dynamic every day. Also important for me to mention were the excellent saddles with padding they have, meaning a very comfortable ride every day. I therefor highly recommend a holiday with Caravan horse riding. Fjoralb Kapo2024-11-26Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Kristina and team, Just wanted to drop you a note to say a massive thank you for such a magical week back in July this year. The whole experience was wonderful and so well thought through / curated. The hospitality we received everywhere we want was memorable, and the ride was exhilarating, challenging at times as well as truly beautiful. The horses will forever be in our minds and we hope to get to ride them again in the future. Look forward to seeing you and the team again at some point. Thanks once again, Dan & Evie ❤️ Sandra Isenberg2024-11-10Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Faleminderit - was the first word I learned in a country that I didn't really know much about. The adventure started with a warm welcome from Kristina and Aurel and a careful distribution of horses. Breathtaking landscapes that keep revealing new, wonderful views. History and stories everywhere. Sure-footed, robust horses that you trust after just a short time. And all the people with their warm hospitality. The days felt endless and unfortunately were over so quickly. So the last word I want to say to my trail partners Aurel, Olti, Dhurim and Aoos is: Faleminderit! 🫶 Laura Maria2024-11-09Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
