This experience is suitable for people who are in good physical shape and have ridden a few times before. The pace of movement is low and average, but the terrain has strong breaks.
This beginner-friendly horseback riding experience starts at the equestrian center above the village of Asim Zeneli. Each participant is carefully matched with a calm and well-trained horse based on riding level, weight, and height. The horses are accustomed to people and perfectly adapted to the hilly terrain, living and moving naturally within their own habitat.
After a short familiarization with the horse, the ride begins directly from the stable.
The route unfolds across a diverse yet comfortable hilly landscape, with gentle descents and moderate climbs that offer beautiful panoramic views over the surrounding valleys.
The highlight of the journey is Gjinofshat, also known as the Epirote village, forming part of the rural zone that once surrounded the ancient city of Antigonea, founded in 295 BC by King Pyrrhus of Epirus. Riding through this landscape offers a unique combination of nature, freedom, and ancient history.
The return follows a scenic detour across the hills behind the stable, revealing impressive panoramic views before concluding the experience.
This experience is designed to be accessible for beginners, respectful of nature, and deeply immersive, combining the freedom of horseback riding with self-awareness, tranquility, and a touch of adrenaline in a historically rich setting.
Horse, 1-2 technical guides at the beginning and end of the group,(for a group of 5 or more persons 2 guides are needed) safety equipment, helmet and chaps (foot protection), water for the whole trip. (please bring your own water bottle)

My one week horse riding holiday under guidance of the owners Kristina and Aurel and their friend Olti was the best experience I had. With their unique and strong Albanian horses we crossed mountains, rivers and forests and it was amazing. The different landscapes and the views of the autumn colours were all picturesque. We galoped often and it was dynamic every day. Also important for me to mention were the excellent saddles with padding they have, meaning a very comfortable ride every day. I therefor highly recommend a holiday with Caravan horse riding.Posted on Fjoralb KapoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Kristina and team, Just wanted to drop you a note to say a massive thank you for such a magical week back in July this year. The whole experience was wonderful and so well thought through / curated. The hospitality we received everywhere we want was memorable, and the ride was exhilarating, challenging at times as well as truly beautiful. The horses will forever be in our minds and we hope to get to ride them again in the future. Look forward to seeing you and the team again at some point. Thanks once again, Dan & Evie ❤️Posted on Sandra IsenbergTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Faleminderit - was the first word I learned in a country that I didn't really know much about. The adventure started with a warm welcome from Kristina and Aurel and a careful distribution of horses. Breathtaking landscapes that keep revealing new, wonderful views. History and stories everywhere. Sure-footed, robust horses that you trust after just a short time. And all the people with their warm hospitality. The days felt endless and unfortunately were over so quickly. So the last word I want to say to my trail partners Aurel, Olti, Dhurim and Aoos is: Faleminderit! 🫶Posted on Laura MariaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Posted on Madelaine LukesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Amazing horses, great guide. Unforgettable experience
