The day begins with a meeting at the horse stable located above the village of “Asim Zeneli.” Participants should arrive at the horse stable, which is a short 15-minute car ride from the city. Upon arrival, you will be introduced to the horses, guides, and the rules of riding.
After a brief period of riding tests and preparations, your riding experience commences. Depending on your comfort level, you may either lead the horse for the first few minutes or mount immediately and begin the ride from the stable. The journey starts with a scenic route towards the nearby valley, taking approximately 15 minutes. Once in the valley, you will mount the horses and embark on a thrilling journey through picturesque valleys and rolling hills, encountering various landscapes along the way.
The ride offers several opportunities for exhilarating canters, allowing you to experience the thrill of a faster pace while exploring the breathtaking surroundings. As you traverse the route, you’ll witness the ever-changing scenery, from the tranquil beauty of small hills to the vastness of the valleys. The presence of water bodies, such as the stunning Qestorati Lake, adds to the enchantment of the ride.
During the ride, you’ll have the chance to take a short break by Qestorati Lake, an infrastructure from the time of communism designed for irrigation purposes. This historical feature provides a moment of reflection and allows you to appreciate the region’s past and its impact on the local landscape.
After leaving Qestorati Lake, the journey continues with a steep downhill descent. Depending on the season, the path may be surrounded by bushes, but rest assured, it is completely safe for both you and the horses. As you ride further, you will cross a small river, where the horses often take a moment to drink some fresh water—a peaceful break in the heart of nature.
The final stretch of the ride takes you across the open fields of Krinë village, where you’ll have the chance for one last exhilarating canter. The terrain here is slightly uneven, adding a bit of excitement to the ride. Occasionally, shepherd dogs from nearby farms may run alongside you, playfully keeping an eye on their territory. It’s a fun and unique experience that adds a touch of authenticity to your journey.
As you approach the stable, take a moment to soak in the breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valleys. The ride concludes with a sense of fulfillment, leaving you with unforgettable memories of an adventure through nature, history, and rural life.
Please note that due to the varying terrain, the presence of canters, and the historical significance of the ride, it requires advanced riding skills to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

My one week horse riding holiday under guidance of the owners Kristina and Aurel and their friend Olti was the best experience I had. With their unique and strong Albanian horses we crossed mountains, rivers and forests and it was amazing. The different landscapes and the views of the autumn colours were all picturesque. We galoped often and it was dynamic every day. Also important for me to mention were the excellent saddles with padding they have, meaning a very comfortable ride every day. I therefor highly recommend a holiday with Caravan horse riding. Fjoralb Kapo2024-11-26Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Kristina and team, Just wanted to drop you a note to say a massive thank you for such a magical week back in July this year. The whole experience was wonderful and so well thought through / curated. The hospitality we received everywhere we want was memorable, and the ride was exhilarating, challenging at times as well as truly beautiful. The horses will forever be in our minds and we hope to get to ride them again in the future. Look forward to seeing you and the team again at some point. Thanks once again, Dan & Evie ❤️ Sandra Isenberg2024-11-10Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Faleminderit - was the first word I learned in a country that I didn't really know much about. The adventure started with a warm welcome from Kristina and Aurel and a careful distribution of horses. Breathtaking landscapes that keep revealing new, wonderful views. History and stories everywhere. Sure-footed, robust horses that you trust after just a short time. And all the people with their warm hospitality. The days felt endless and unfortunately were over so quickly. So the last word I want to say to my trail partners Aurel, Olti, Dhurim and Aoos is: Faleminderit! 🫶 Laura Maria2024-11-09Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
